About

Family Owned - The AC McDermitt Difference

AC McDermitt is primarily an interior commercial company, specializing in rough and finish carpentry which includes Metal/Wood framing, Drywall, Drywall finishing, Painting, ACT Ceilings, FRP, Casework, and Trimwork. We are currently expanding to obtain additional General Contracting bids and we ask that you include us on your bidding list. Our company has been around for over 25 years and continues to put customer satisfaction at the top of our priority list.

We are significantly expanding our residential offerings and workload. We perform rough carpentry and finish carpentry which includes Setting Trusses, Wood Framing, Insulating, Hanging, Finishing, Painting, Windows, Casework, and Trimwork. We continue to provide additions, renovations, demolition, and new construction to help build our residential portfolio.

Locally owned and operated, at AC McDermitt we pride ourselves on being a one-stop-shop for all things construction - Interior, Exterior, Demo, Excavating - if we can't do it ourselves, we subcontract and manage the process. This limits the amount of contractors you have to deal with. Regardless if your need is commercial or residential, we are confident we can competitively outbid and outperform any other company in the area. We look forward to the opportunity to work with you in the future.

Artie is a 3rd generation carpenter who, like his father, started learning carpentry and running machinery as a teenager. Artie graduated from Slippery Rock University while serving in the National Guard, where he was deployed as a Sergeant. Artie finished with a B.S. in Business Management and then joined the Carpenters Union to pursue his passion in carpentry. In his seven years with the Union, Artie learned to work on bigger jobs with more complex carpentry, adding to his arsenal of knowledge. Additionally, he took courses through CCAC where he earned his Associates Degree in Construction Supervision and Estimating. After seven years in the field Artie transitioned to the office for Rycon Construction where he worked as a Project Engineer and Estimator. Eventually, Artie decided to return home to help his father run and grow the family business, armed with all the knowledge he had accumulated over the years.
